The goal of our Community Programming activities is to build awareness and increase visitation. The Island Alliance launched its “Family Fun Days” in 2003. A current schedule for 2006 is being created and will include programs every weekend from June 24th through Labor Day. Please visit back soon for more information about the upcoming season. In 2004, the Alliance hosted a series of eight Family Fun Days on Saturdays in July and August. The success of those initial programs led the Alliance to expand the program to both Saturdays and Sundays, as well as to add additional weekends. In 2005, the Alliance hosted a total of 20 Family Fun Days as part of its overall Community Programming effort. The Family Fun Days schedule in 2005 included the following titles and more: Snails, Bugs and Slugs; Patriots and Prisoners; Boston Harbor Island’s Camp Out; and Baseball Time Travelers.
